Every single day, I have the privilege of going into school and getting to do the best job ever-- guiding six and seven year olds into a love of learning. Sadly, they have already experienced a lifetime of being told that they are too little to accomplish the big, lofty, STEaM goals that their older peers are asked to perform. This is quickly killing their passion to learn. How can we continue to encourage their innate curiosity and natural instinct to explore, question, and wonder? I will share what I am doing in my classroom to combat this while we have a conversation/brainstorm some ideas to take back into our classrooms to start our year with.
