Accounting for ourselves as writers is fundamental to the integrity of our praxis and pedagogy, our scholarship, and the relationships between ourselves, our students, our institutions, our communities, and our ideologies. This session will focus on putting teaching practice into words—as scholarship, as narrative, as personal reflection—while also using the writing we do to think through our pedagogies. We will use writing as a reflective practice in order to provoke questions meant to challenge and reframe the established orthodoxies for digital teaching and learning through the questions that their writing will raise. Practice will focus on a series of timed writing exercises, sharing, and reflecting: a critical pedagogy of narrative practice.
