Description
Students benefit from international partnerships through a cultural immersion that develops their understanding and appreciation for different cultures and empathy for local and global issues.Participants will realize the power of a Global Classroom and its impact on student engagement. They will leave with new ideas and an understanding of international collaborative projects. Participants will be exposed to Mesa Middle School's project examples, including ways to become involved with the UN 17 Sustainable Goals and incorporating the design thinking protocol to generate solutions.They will also experience the process of creating a Global Classroom, share ideas and collaborate to create international projects. All participants will leave with ideas for projects to implement in their classes that take curriculum, content and standards to a whole new level.
